Hikertown: A Place Worth Saving
For decades, Hikertown has been a quiet landmark on the Pacific Crest Trail — a place where through-hikers from every corner of the world stopped to rest, recharge, and connect. This documentary tells the story of that place, the people who built it, and what happened when the community began to fight back.
Production Updates
Principal Photography Complete
We've finished principal photography with Hikertown residents, PCT hikers, and local advocates. The footage is now in post-production.
Archival Research
Our research team completed a review of the 2011 county records, enforcement documents, and community correspondence that forms the documentary's evidentiary backbone.
Production Begins
Cameras rolled for the first time at Hikertown. Interviews with long-time residents and PCT through-hikers captured on location.
